Prince Harry Supports and Shares a Dance with Icon Jane Goodall
Prince Harry just met with the legendary Jane Goodall for her annual Roots & Shoots Global Leadership Gathering and shared an impromptu dance with the 85-year-old iconic British anthropologist, ethologist, and philanthropist.
@JaneGoodallInst (Jane Goodall Institute and Jane Goodall’s official Instagram) is one of the few accounts being featured by @SussexRoyal (Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Instagram account) this month.
The Sussex Royal Instagram account praised Jane Goodall’s organization, “Today @RootsAndShoots has over 150,000 groups in over 50 countries – the collective power of these young people is limitless.”
Prince Harry is the Commonwealth Youth Ambassador and President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, which means that he dedicates much of his time to promoting awareness of and supporting organizations that are focused on ecological preservation projects.
Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Organization is a youth program and its mission statement is “to foster respect and compassion for all living things, to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs, and to inspire each individual to take action to make the world a better place for people, other animals, and the environment.” One of the wonderful things Roots & Shoots is doing is providing a $200 “mini-grant” to young people who are supporting or want to start a community action project. You can learn more about Roots & Shoots and the mini-grant, including how to apply, here.
