Yara Shahidi Is One of 15 Women Honored as #Forcesforchange by British Vogue
Yara just posted a video of herself in the middle of a Vogue photoshoot, gracefully dancing while listening to Frank Ocean. “Behind the scenes of the @britishvogue #forcesforchangeshoot ⭐️ Major personal moments MUST always be accompanied by the artistry of @blonded,” she posted.
But this particular photoshoot happened to be for a very special issue, which will honor 15 women as “Forces For Change.”
Awarded by the Duchess of Sussex and Edward Enninful, the September issue of British Vogue will feature fifteen women who have made significant contributions to the world. The other honorees are teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, Salma Hayek, Jameela Jamil, Ramla Ali, Christy Turlington, Adut Akech Bior, Adwoa Aboah, Jane Fonda, Laverne Cox, Gemma Chan, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Sinéad Burke, Francesca Hayward, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
A 16th honoree will be a mirror on the inside cover, to remind those who read it that change is a collaborative effort and that we are all working together to make history.
HRH the Duchess of Sussex was British Vogue’s first guest editor of the September issue in its 103-year history.
