Zendaya and Tommy Hilfiger Are Bringing the #TommyNow Fall Collection to NYC
This fall, the #TommyNow show is headed back to the Apollo Theater in New York City to showcase the Tommy X Zendaya Fashion Week 2019 collection.
In 2016, Tommy Hilfiger first introduced the concept of “buy now, wear now” collaborations that were originally featured with the Gigi Hadid X Tommy Hilfiger collection. Hilfiger has taken the Gigi collaboration and the Spring 2019 Zendaya collection shows on the road to tour at different locations. There have been many events intertwined with his fashion shows, such as an NYC blowout party, building a theme park in Los Angeles, throwing a circus in London, a race track spectacle in Milan, and “Battle of Versailles” themed dance floor in Paris. Now, the #TommyNow Fall 2019 collection is headed back to New York, where it all began.

Zendaya was inspired to showcase the collection in Harlem at the one and only, Apollo Theater. Tommy Hilfiger stated, “Zendaya’s desire to bring #TommyNow to Harlem felt like an amazing next step in expressing her vision for the future. Her statement-making point of view in everything she does is what makes her such an inspiring collaborator – it is an honor to continue to provide her with a platform in the fashion industry to share this.”
The runway show will take place on Sunday, September 8th at the iconic Apollo Theater. The fall collection takes inspiration from some of the marquee performers who have made their presence known by performing on the Apollo stage. We can expect inspiration from Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Patti LaBelle, and The Supremes.
