Ellie Goulding Celebrates 14 Songs on the Billboard Hot 100
Ellie Goulding recently took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the arrival of her 14th song on the Billboard Hot 100 list. The music she’s been creating has been a genuine pleasure to listen to over the years and has recently earned her a nomination for the 2019 Teen Choice Awards set for August 11th. Her Teen Choice nomination is for the Electronic/ Dance Song genre and was for Ellie’s song “Close to Me,” a Red Velvet remix with Red Velvet and Diplo. Most recently, “Hate Me,” by Ellie and Juice WRLD, jumped onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart at 82nd and is rising in its second week.
Ellie mentioned that as an “English bird” she feels proud of her achievements. “I built myself from nothing and had some pretty hard times along the way but one thing I’ve always kept is my joy and love for creating songs to make people feel good and I never expected to get this far. Thank you for the most beautiful support, love you x,” she continued on Instagram.
Ellie also just graduated from Kent University—so if you’re ever wondering what some superstars are doing in their free time, realize that sometimes they are actually going to school like many of us.
