Normani Announces Debut Solo Track Motivation
We are just 3 days away from an iconic moment in music history.
On August 16th, Normani is giving the girls what we deserve with a debut solo track since the devastating split of one of our favorite girl groups, Fifth Harmony. Whether it’s collaborating with various artists such as Sam Smith, 6lack, and Khalid or opening up for Ariana Grande’s Sweetener Tour. It’s no secret that she’s been working overtime to rightfully claim her spot as a solo artist.
She posted the Motivation cover art on Instagram with the caption, “8/16/19 !!!!”.
Although the caption is very discreet on what to expect from the young Dancing With A Stranger artist, the cover art is giving us serious early 2000 vibes. The bubblegum backdrop, airbrushed titles and low-ride jeans with a classic white top is making me want to dig up my old Juicy Couture sweatsuit and a rhinestone flip phone.
At the beginning of August, she posted a short audio clip of her singing: ” Get you naked but I won’t tell em, tell em (yeah)” on Instagram with another discreet caption of emojis.
We are ready for all the new music and welcome Normani’s solo career with open arms. The highly anticipated single Motivation drops August 16th on all streaming platforms. Will you be tuning in? I know I will.
