Matty Healy posted a video on Instagram of old merch from The 1975’s first album and early tours, but with neon yellow ink reprinted over the old logos. In the caption of the post, Matty explains that, for the time being, The 1975 will be repurposing old merch to be used as a sustainable alternative for new merch promoting their upcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form.

The bright new ink on the old t-shirts features the classic rectangle theme of the band’s previous logos, but with added text relating to the new era, such as “NOACF,” “WAKE UP!,” and, of course, “THE 1975.”

Matty also mentioned that you can bring an old 1975 t-shirt, or any old t-shirt from any band, to this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals in England, and they will reprint the new logo onto that shirt for free.

The 1975’s fourth studio album, Notes On A Conditional Form, is set to be released on Feb. 21, 2020.
