Dreamville Press

With the highly anticipated release of the third collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers 3 by record label Dreamville and J. Cole, featuring numerous artist signed to the label, the artistic video for the track “Sacrifices” was released and fans are loving it. The song features artist J.Cole, Saba, Johnny Venus, and Doctur Dot better known by their duo name EARTHGANG, and rapper Smino.

Many applaud the song for J. Cole’s mention of his wife and children. Cole is known for his privacy, so to have a sneak-peek into the love he has for his wife and the mention of his second child on the way touched many people. The video gives chills as we are shown a more vulnerable side of each artist as they recite their verse. This track is the first time Midwest rappers Smino and Saba have collaborated with Dreamville.

The video begins with EARTHGANG’s Johnny Venus by himself in traditional African wardrobe. Following Venus is St. Louis rapper Smino wearing a t-shirt displaying Micheal Brown, who was killed by police officers in his hometown of Missouri. Toward the ending verse, Cole is displaying heavy emotion as he talks about his typically private personal life. The video touched a lot of people and we look forward to seeing videos for the other songs featured on the Revenge of the Dreamers 3 album.
