Anthony Ramos released his new song “The Good and the Bad” following the start of his tour by the same name. The tour took off with a sold-out show at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater in New York City.

Ramos’ “The Good and the Bad” tour will run through North America this fall and already has another sold-out date in Brooklyn, NY at Fair Trade on September 26. Information about the tour, along with dates and cities, can be found on Ramos’ official website. Ramos also tweeted the tour dates.

Anthony Ramos made a name for himself when he originated the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit Hamilton. In 2018 Ramos began his career as a solo artist and lent his voice to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Almost Like Praying” benefit single. He also worked with producer Will Wells on The Freedom EP, which gained recognition on Billboard. Ramos’ most recent project is playing the lead in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s anticipated movie In The Heights, directed by Jon M. Chu. The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. in June 2020.

His more recent projects include appearing in the Academy Award-winning film A Star is Born as Ally’s best friend, and Spike Lee’s Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It. Ramos has also contributed several songs to the show’s soundtrack, including the original song “Cry Today, Smile Tomorrow.” The track was inspired by Ramos’ work with a patient at Katie’s Art Project, an organization that gives children with life-threatening illnesses the chance to work with artists to create a lasting legacy with art.
