Rosalía’s Iconic Performance and Historical Win

Rosalía, a Barcelona native, left American viewers in awe of her performance and received recognition for her wins.

Monday night, Rosalía brought home two VMA awards for her hit song with J Balvin ft. El Guincho “Con Altura” for Best Choreography and Best Latin. “Con Altura,” which translates as “with height” in English, certainly peaked with three nominations and making history with “Con Altura” being the first-ever Latin song to win two awards the same night.

With her flamenco flair and passionate operatic voice, she made a staple on American viewers. Starting off her performance with an acapella version of “A Ningún Hombre (Cap.11: Poder)”, her voice echoed throughout the Prudential Center in New Jersey and continued to light up the stage with Ozuna. Rosalía finished her performance with a dazzling stage set up with her name in gold lights, making sure she made her name known throughout the United States.

On Rosalia’s Twitter, she released a message to fans who supported her and the rest of the nominees who participated at the VMAs.
