Dirty Pineapple debuted their spring/summer 2020 collection at their show during New York Fashion Week on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The show opened up with strobing lights and up-beat dance music as the first model began his walk down the runway. Soon, the runway was filled with diverse models showing off the brand’s spring/summer 2020 collection.

The spring/summer 2020 collection is filled with colorful basics, metallics, and bold designs on draping, oversized silhouettes that are meant to be androgynous.

The emphasis on comfort could be seen both in the clothing and the choice of footwear; almost every model on the runway was wearing flat, easy-to-walk in shoes, such as boots, sneakers, and sandals.

The upcoming collection emphasizes the blending of stand-out, high-fashion style with comfort.

Dirty Pineapple is a brand that stresses creativity, versatility, and free-thinking, which is apparent in their clothing. The Shanghai-based clothing brand is known for its innovative approach to combining business attire with trendy streetwear and a touch of vintage inspiration.

The brand’s focus on unisex pieces is reminiscent of a truly-equal world, free from gender norms or stereotypes.

Though it was only established three years in 2016, it has already caught the attention of both the press and consumers who admire how the brand works their ideals into the collections.
