Michael Kuluva and Stevie Boi Collaborate for a Special NYFW Anniversary Collection
Fashion Designers Michael Kuluva and Stevie Boi joined together to both celebrate 10 years as designers.
The two showcased their latest collections to a crowd of fashion enthusiasts. Stevie Boi is a sunglasses designer whose products have been seen on stars like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Madonna. The entire night was sponsored by Creaky Joints, an online support community for people with arthritis. Michael Kuluva himself suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and serves as an inspiration for those living with the condition.
His clothing creations are made with fasteners and details that are easy for those experiencing pain and limitations from arthritis to wear.
The S/S 2020 collection was inspired by Kuluva’s love for the water and nautical elements.
The looks were fun and campy. They featured sheer fabrics, sequins, plunging necklines, and bright colors and prints.
The show also featured a diverse cast of models with varying ages and gender identity. Some of the models have arthritis and are apart of the Creaky Joints community.
All the models exuded confidence and brought life to the delightful designs. Paired with Stevie Boi’s cool glasses, Michael Kuluva’s looks were completed and styled to radiate eclectic luxury.
The event ended with a surprise performance from muse/model/living legend Amanda Lepore.
