Lilly Singh, the fellow comedian YouTuber debuted her late-night television show on NBC Sept. 16th.

Lily Singh debuted her late-night television show on NBC Monday night featuring guest appearances from Mindy Kaling and Rainn Wilson. The late-night television show airs weeknights with, sketches, games, appearances from celebrities, and musical comedic performances from Lily Singh.

The premiere of the show started off with a three-minute comedic monologue from Singh discussing the medias obsession with pointing out she’s bisexual and Indian; however, she gives thanks to successful women of color like Mindy Kaling and Michelle Obama who helped pave the way to getting her position to becoming a late-night host.

Singh’s show not only premiered on NBC’s network but also streamed live on YouTube for international fans that wanted to see her debut. Lilly Singh posted the surprising announcement to her fans on Instagram.


The debut of the show revealed to viewers Singh’s show won’t be the traditional form of late-night network television. Instead, the show will have musical numbers like the Lilly Knocks Down the door of Late Night musical comedic sketch numbers that was featured into the introduction of the show and revealed on Lilly Singh’s guest appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show.
