‘The Boondocks’ Returning with Two New Seasons on HBO Max
The Freemans are back with a two-season reboot, and we can stream all 24 episodes on HBO Max starting Fall 2020.
If you were a fan of the animated series, The Boondocks then you probably jammed to the dope lyrics, “I am the stone that builder refused, I am the visual, the inspiration, that made lady sing the blues.” by Asheru.
The satire ran from 2005 to 2014, but the show is relevant today. Aaron McGruder, the creator, examined many “plucked from the headlines” topics. And, since social injustice is on the rise, we need Riley and Huey Freeman now more than ever.
The original animated series starred the talented and award-winning actress, Regina King. You may not have guessed, but the beautiful actress is the voice for characters Huey and Riley Freeman. We are looking forward to King reprising her role as the wise-cracking Freeman brothers.
It seems everyone is excited about the reboot! Here is what fans have to say:
I’m binge watching the BOONDOCKS as soon as I get a HBO MAX password.
