Charli XCX’s Performance and Appearance on the ‘Tonight Show’
Charli XCX promoted her new album, Charli, and performed live with Christine and the Queens on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Charli XCX has had a busy few weeks since releasing her third studio pop album, Charli. She performed her emotional pop single, “Gone,” from her latest album, featuring Christine and the Queens, live on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Although this isn’t Charli’s first time performing on the Tonight Show, this is the first time she sat down and had a discussion with Jimmy Fallon. She discussed the difference between her past records, where she mostly sang about partying and relationships, and her new album. Her most recent album is more personal as it discusses her mental health and insecurities.
The performance of “Gone” reflected a high level of chemistry and passion between the singers. Charli and Christine performed on top of red couches that had ropes tied around them, similar to the “Gone” music video. As a result of the singers’ passion and emotion throughout the song, the performance was remarkable.
