“Miss Saigon” has landed in Costa Mesa California at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa from October 1 – 13, 2019.

If you know Broadway, you are in for a treat. “Miss Saigon” has been performed in over thirty-two cities, in fifteen different languages, has won over seventy awards including three Tony Awards, and it’s been seen by over thirty-six million people worldwide. Since its London premiere in 1989, Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s epic musical “Miss Saigon” has become one of the most successful musicals in history. This new production is grittier and resonates with audiences today as we see families separated by war globally. The London Times called the production “thrilling, soaring and spectacular.”

“Miss Saigon” tells the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim, played by Emily Bautista who has most recently been seen as ‘Éponine’ in the current national tour of Les Misérables, who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, played by Anthony Festa, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. Kim goes on an epic journey of survival over several years to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea of the life he has left behind and that he’s fathered a son.
