‘Dear White People’ Renewed for Fourth and Final Season
The college-based comedy series, Dear White People, is set to graduate just four years after its premiere.
The streaming giant, Netflix, has renewed the series for a fourth and final season. Similar to the past three seasons, it will run for 10 episodes. With no premiere date for season four, the news of the show’s final season comes only two months after the show’s third season.
The hit series based on the 2014 film of the same name by Justin Simien, displays several points of view from different black college students at an Ivy League institution, touching on issues surrounding modern American race relations. Original cast members Logan Browning, Ashley Blaine Featherson, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori and Marque Richardson will be returning for the final season.
Dear White People is one of several series that Netflix will bring to a close in the near future, along with shows like GLOW and 13 Reasons Why, both ending just after four seasons. With no release date for the controversial comedy’s final season, we all look forward to what Vol.4 will have instore for us.
