Watch the First Trailer for Apple’s ‘Truth Be Told’
Apple dropped the first trailer for its upcoming original series Truth Be Told starring Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul.
The series follows podcaster Poppy Parnell, played by Octavia Spencer, as she is forced to reopen the murder case that made her famous and comes face to face with Warren Cave, played by Aaron Paul, who she helped put behind bars. News evidence, previously ignored and destroyed, could prove his innocence.

The show was created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, as she and Spencer will serve as executive producers alongside Reese Witherspoon. The cast also includes stars Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Ron Cephas Jones, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, and Haneefah Wood. Spencer is an Oscar-winning actress, while Paul is known for his role on the hit television series Breaking Bad. The two will square off in this film as Spencer’s character finally comes face to face with the man she may have mistakenly helped put behind bars for a crime she questions if he committed 18 years later.
The series will debut on Dec. 6, 2019 with Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV+, set to launch on Nov. 1, 2019. Tune in to learn the truth.
