Diana Ross Will Perform at Glastonbury’s 2020 Festival
Diana Ross will perform in “Legends” slot at Glastonbury 2020 in Celebrations of the festivals 50th anniversary.
It was announced this Thursday that the soul icon is the first artist confirmed for the festival’s 50th-anniversary event. Diana Ross is a singer, actress, and record producer who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the vocal group the Supremes, who in the 1960’s was the most successful girl group in history. Mere words can not begin to describe the impact she has on the music industry and the female artist who followed her.

Previous acts who have taken this legendary slot include Paul Simon, Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, and Kylie Minogue. Ross, took to Twitter to express her joy at the announcement.

The Medal of Freedom recipient is set to take the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, June 28, on the final day of the five-day event in Somerset, England. Tickets for the show sold out within half an hour of their release with a reported 2.4 million people registered online for the chance to buy tickets. No word on any of the artists performing at the festival but with Ross already confirmed the festival is already sure to be a blast.
