Queen Latifah Receives Recognition for Her Contributions to Black Culture

Queen Latifah has earned her way to receiving the W.E.B. Du Bois medal from Harvard University with all of the contributions she has made to the Black community.

Queen Latifah has been nominated as one of the seven recipients of the W.E.B Du Bois medal. This medal is seen as the highest honor in the field of African and African American studies at Harvard University. People all around the United States and around the globe have the potential to be honored with this award for their contributions to African and African American history and culture. A variety of occupations have been honored with this award, including philanthropists, scholars, artists, writers, journalists, and public servants.

In the past years, some well-known celebrities have had the honor of receiving this recognition.

Many are psyched to witness Queen Latifah be handed her award and be recognized for all she has done for the Black community.
