Fans were getting emotional over the sweet song Cody Simpson dedicated to his “Golden Thing.”
It appears that Miley Cyrus’s love life is full of romance. The singer has been seen getting intimate with singer and former Disney star, Cody Simpson. When rumors swirled around the two, Cyrus responded by typing a heartfelt message to the media. “Can’t I just have a kiss and acai bowl?”

Now Simpson has given the couple’s supporters another thing to obsess over. The singer announced a new song, titled “Golden Thing.” The cover art shows a person with three necklaces and beachy blond hair but doesn’t display the person’s face. Of course, fans have speculated that it is in fact, Cyrus.

The lyrics have a romantic and intimate feel to them; in the ballad, Simpson wistfully sings “I’m shocked, it’s the golden thing she’s got,” along with a soulful guitar.
The song was released Oct. 17 and has proved to be a sweet ode to a “mystery” woman. If this song is about Cyrus then it is safe to say Simpson is completely smitten. Let’s hope their love continues to be just as golden as the song describes.
