Watch Apple TV+ Trailer for ‘The Banker’ Starring Samuel Jackson
Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for The Banker, the true-story drama starring Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie.
Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie star as Joe Morris and Bernard Garrett, two revolutionary businessmen who developed a risky plan to help African Americans pursue wealth and happiness in the 1960’s. Although smart and capable black men living in the 60s, their characters, Morris and Garrett, are unable to complete their plan. They enlisted a working-class white man named Matt Steiner played by Nicholas Hoult to serve as the front for their burgeoning real estate and banking empire.
The rights to the film were acquired by Apple in July 2019 and will be released as an Apple Original. The film is due to premiere at AFI Fest later this month and there will be a limited theatrical release starting on December 6th, followed by its digital release on the new Apple TV+ streaming service in January 2020.
