Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun are determined to ruin Swift’s AMA performance plans.
It looks like the bad blood between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun is still alive. Earlier this year, Swift revealed Brauns’ shady behavior via Tumblr posts. In summary, Brauns attempted to convince Swift to sign a label he intended to sell in exchange for the albums she recorded with that label.
Their musical feud has turned up in intensity; now Braun is refusing to let Taylor Swift perform the songs from her time with her previous label for her AMA performance. Swift will be accepting the honor of “Artist of the Decade,” and previously intended to sing a medley of her old and new songs. This has put a halt to those plans.
In a post captioned, “Don’t know what else to do,” Swift explained the situation in depth.

This attempt to exercise control of Swift is one she implies often happens to artists in the industry. In the tweets, she explains that she was expected to “be a good little girl and shut up.”

Fans of the singer immediately rallied behind her. They created the hashtag, #freeTaylor, and have been tweeting at Swift’s tormentors non-stop. We stand with Taylor.
