John Legend Guest Hosted the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Fresh off of his People Magazine: Sexiest Man Alive win, John Legend guest-hosted the Ellen Show and it was pretty spectacular.
The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony winner showed up dressed sharp as two tacks in a classic white suit and black turtleneck. Legend had viewers swooning as he serenaded a lucky audience member.

Legend and his beautiful wife, Chrissy Teigen, gives us relationship goals as Teigen pops in to support her husband. Viewers got to enjoy Legend’s comedy stylings, but who doesn’t love a prank?

Tracee Ellis Ross, star of Girlfriends and Black–ish, kept the laughs coming with her DJ Quik Halloween costume. She also speaks out against Legend’s naysayers and shares her definition of what makes a man sexy. Ross also introduces us to her hair care products for curly, coily, and tight-textured hair.
A wonderful moment was Legend’s interview with Lena Waithe; both are Emmy winners. Waithe was particularly inspiring as she recounts her come up from an assistant to appearing as a guest on the show. Waithe shares with viewers that she is now a wife and her wedding location had historical significance. She also gave us a sneak peek of her upcoming film Queen and Slim.
This episode was a lot of fun, and if it is any indication of Legend’s career as a host, surely we will see more of him.
