Thank You Motown Records for the Release of ‘Queen & Slim’ Soundtrack

Motown Records released the highly anticipated Queen & Slim: The Soundtrack with music by Megan Thee Stallion, Syd, Lil Baby, Lauren Hill, Burna Boy, and more. 

Motown Records, the infamous record label known for its well-known artists and contributions to the music industry, has collaborated with Melina Matsoukas and Lena Waithe to deliver the groundbreaking soundtrack of Queen & Slim. The movie follows the journey and love story of Jodie Turner-Smith and Daniel Kaluuya’s characters, Queen and Slim. The soundtrack reflects the style of the film, the tragedy, and the growing love between the two characters.

On Instagram, Motown Records posted the tracklist of the soundtrack, along with clips from the movie.

Tracks like “Yo Love,” “Getting Late,” “My Money, My Baby, “Runnin’ Away,” and “Ride Or Die” reflect the film’s representation of black love and the overall exciting thrill of the movie.  The soundtrack includes 16 tracks and amazing photographs by Lelanie Foster for the album cover.

With the release of the soundtrack, Megan Thee Stallion and VickeeLo released a music video for their single, “Ride Or Die.” The music video included outfits and similar sets from the movie.
