Thankfully the AMA’s crowd will get to hear Taylor Swift sing her old tunes.

Last week, Taylor Swift released some troubling news to fans on Twitter. The response to this news was massive, making Swifties everywhere take to the internet to defend Taylor Swift to let those trying to take advantage of her know just how they felt.

Well now fans can rest easy. Taylor Swift and her former music label, Big Machine Label, have come to an agreement that will allow her to sing her past and present songs in celebration of her Artist of the Decade honor.

In a statement said to be from Big Machine Label Group and Dick Clark Productions, attempted to clarify the situation. In the statement, they explain, “recording artists do not need label approval for live performances on television or any other live media.” This report further states that “record label approval is only needed for contracted artists’ audio and visual recordings and in determining how those works are distributed.”

It seems that Swift is paving the way for many other artists who may be in similar situations with their labels. Don’t forget to watch the AMA’s to catch Swift’s performance on Nov 24.
