Check out What Record Nicki Minaj Broke This Time
Nicki Minaj is now one of the most versatile artists in the game and here’s the reason why.
The “Chun Li” artist made an announcement earlier in the year, claiming that she was retiring from her music career to focus on her family. That break may have lasted all of one day, because since then she has collaborated on a campaign with Fendi. Minaj has also produced a plethora of new music, but who says she can’t do both?
The newly engaged rapper is continuing to apply pressure and will not let up. Just yesterday, Karol G & Nicki Minaj’s “Tusa” became the first song by two lead female artists to debut at number one on Hot Latin Songs, her sixth entry on this chart. The song reached the number one spot after only a week of being released, but that’s not how it makes Nicki apart of history.
This is her tenth Billboard genre chart she has managed to dominate. Nicki the Ninja continues to hit number one on various genre charts, as she’s previously reigned supreme on charts such as: Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Hot Gospel Songs, Reggae Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Dance Club Songs, Rhythmic Songs airplay, and Pop Songs airplay. She is the first artist in history to achieve this. As Young Money’s first lady, it was only right they they acknowledged her success.

The variety in the listed charts attest not only to her talent and expertise, but her versatility as an artist. Many fans were outraged that the rapper did not receive a Grammy nomination this year, however this accomplishment speaks for itself. We can assume this is not the end of her reign and we are anticipating her next move. While we wait be sure to check out “Tusa” on all platforms.
