The Morning Show, starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Anniston, and Steve Carell, is finally here and gives us a peek at the drama-filled world of morning television.
The trailer introduces us to Alex Levy played by Anniston, and Bradley Jackson played by Witherspoon. They both seem smart, beautiful, and successful– but that is where the similarities end. The scene shows the characters clashing over a point of view as one character seems to be an idealist and the other is realistic.
Although we are used to seeing Anniston and Witherspoon in friendly roles, this is not a gal-pal show; it examines the power dynamics between women– and women and men–in a cut-throat workplace. The characters are complicated and they deal with crises in their personal and professional lives.
The Morning Show also stars Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, and Janina Gavankar.
