Rapsody’s Freestyle Is Too Hot to Handle

RocNation

Rapsody effortlessly wows DJ Funkmaster Flex on his radio show in her latest freestyle.

Funk Flex is a hip-station on Hot 97 FM that is ran by the iconic DJ Funkmaster Flex. Many rap artists like DaBaby, Tory Lanez, Dave East, and more come to freestyle and show their raw talent. It is not often that they have a female artist as a guest on the show, but Rapsody dropped by the studio to show she can run with the best of them.

Rapsody is known as a MC with impeccable lyrical diversity, consistent rhymes, and unique storytelling who needs little introduction. With several albums and projects, it was nothing for her to body this short freestyle. In just two minutes you find her making references to Drake, Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time film, and Colin Kaepernick. A shocked Funk Flex could only give the compliment of “top chick bars in the game right now.”

Rapsody gracefully accepted the compliment, although she is a firm advocate that musical ability should not be limited by gender. Her latest album, Eve, actually is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the black woman and promotion equality amongst the sexes. All sixteen of her songs are entitled by the names of African-American women.

These rhymes show the North Carolina MC does not need any statues to tell her she’s nice. Moreover, the words show why she’s been winning, with more prizes to come. Be sure to check out her latest album that is available on all platforms.
