Take a Look at Selena Gomez’s AMA Performance

Selena Gomez opened the 2019 American Music Awards with her first live televised performance in two years.

We are all looking at Selena’s moving performance, setting the tone for the show. Gomez opened with her No.1 Billboard hit,  “Lose You to Love Me”. The stage was all black, with the star front and center, while a film of her rolled in the background. This was very similar to her music video she released in late October. Gomez then transitioned into “Look At Her Now”, as she ascended down a small staircase and was then swarmed by backup dancers. Gomez morphed her performance from a honest ballad into a confident dance showcase, receiving the first standing ovation of the evening.

Her past performances at the AMAs were in 2014, 2015 and 2017, where she performed her hit “Wolves.” The star has taken time off to focus on her health, but came roaring back to the music scene again this year. Tonight she made her return and let us know she was here to stay.

It has been nearly five years since the release of her last studio album, Revival. However, Selena is making a come back for the new year and she has a project on the way entitled SG2. The album is scheduled to drop on Jan. 10, but in the meantime be sure to add the collection on pre-order.
