Dior Collabs For the Release of Trending Footwear
Recently, we’ve seen various high end brands collaborate with other well known companies to create pieces that become a trending topic.
Christian Dior, creatively led by Kim Jones, has joined this list of companies. Mid-2018, Dior collaborated with Converse to create their Dior x Converse high top sneakers. Here’s a close look at them:
They kept the popular high top Converse aesthetic while bulking the sole a bit and adding the Dior logo throughout the entire surface. The image above is the original design and the most common one as well. Now they have white on white designs, the original design with colored dots in the background, and the selection of low or high tops. The simplistic, yet popping design has caught the attention of many.
These trending shows go for $1,100; yet the price hasn’t stopped anyone from purchasing. The collaborations haven’t stopped there.
This next collaboration raised the price to $2,000! Dior took their creativity with Nike and created the Jordan 1 x Dior collaboration:
There are many mixed opinions about this one. Some people feel the design could’ve been a lot more and it’s overall nothing to go crazy over, while others are ready to pay the price for these.
