Catch up with Dua Lipa and Bond NYC as They Team up to Help the Albania Earthquake Relief Effort

Dua Lipa and Bond NYC are saving the world one T-shirt at a time with their new collaboration.

According to Besar Likmeta in The Washington Post, in late November, “Albania [was] hit by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake,” causing massive amounts of damage. This natural disaster sadly led to the loss of 18 individuals as well as the injury of hundreds of others.

On November 26th, a devastating earthquake hit Albania, leaving 52 dead and over 3,000 injured. 1300 after-shock quakes have shattered the country since. ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ As of December 4th, there are tens of thousands of displaced refugees across Albania and the neighboring Kosovo. There are nearly 10,000 destroyed homes and even more buildings that are unsafe and unusable. ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ Given the media censorship, what has been reported about the situation in the country is only a fraction of the reality we are witnessing here on the ground. ⠀⠀ ⠀ The overwhelming willingness to come in support has been great and gracious, but the ability of the authorities on the ground has proven to be limited based on the sheer devastation. ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ In this total disarray, we chose to circumvent the obstacles and provide direct support to those in need. Though the recovery process has already begun and there have been donations submitted far and wide (including @XhesikaBerberi and Pope Francis), that didn’t stop the “Kiss and Make Up” singer from lending a helping hand. To do so, she partnered with Bond NYC, a clothing brand (known for making Billie Eilish’s custom Coachella shirt), to sell custom #PrayForAlbania tees. All of the sales made will be put towards the earthquake relief cause.
