The 92nd Annual Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is ready to celebrate the most amazing and influential films of the past year.

Joker, directed by Todd Philips, dominated the lists with 11 nominations. However, three films were right behind it with 10 nominations: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Irishman, and 1917. All four of these movies have been nominated for the same category: Best Picture.
Once again, the award show will be host-free. In 2019, Kevin Hart was going to host, but ultimately decided to step down. The Academy decided it would be in their best interest to continue to remain hostless and rather have stars present the nominees, intending to focus more on the show.
However, while the nominations have been nothing but exciting, there has also been some slight backlash. Once again, no women were nominated for Best Director, the category currently includes Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Bong Joon-ho, Sam Mendes, and Todd Philips.
Here are some of the nominations.
