Get Excited about the New ‘Hamilton’ Movie

The original Broadway cast is hitting the big screen in the new Hamilton movie.

Whether you have seen Hamilton countless times or have always wanted to see it but never could, you now have the chance to watch it. Disney signed a movie deal for the musical that will be in North America theaters on October 15, 2021. The film is set to be a live capture of a stage performance unlike Lin-Manual Miranda’s upcoming In the Heights.

Hamilton first appeared on the Broadway stage in 2015 and has received numerous awards since then. The original cast includes Lin-Manual Miranda as Hamilton, Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, Christopher Jackson as George Washington, and more.

Filming for this production started in 2016 over multiple performances. It is said to be a whole new live theater experience that no one has ever experienced. It is something Miranda has always said he wanted to do especially to give everyone an equal opportunity to see the original cast perform.
