Maria Grazia Chiuri is an Italian fashion designer and the current creative director at Dior.

Her designs are both creative and innovative, expressing not only Italian culture but fashion around the world. Her 2020 Haute Couture Collection, was in relation between art and motherhood, inspired by the book The Mother.

Grazia is the first woman to be in charge of Dior. As a mother herself she feels that women think they cannot both be mothers and successful, which she feels you can do both.

She ties her fashion line to the Greek goddess, Athena, by including inspired garments. Athena is the goddess of wisdom, handicraft, and warfare. The gold, grey, and neutral color palettes represent a woman’s own divinity. Maria wants to showcase women of diverse backgrounds and interpret feminism into her 2020 clothing line.
