See If Your Favorites Won at the Oscars

Paul Drinkwater/NBC

From amazing fashion to heartfelt speeches, the 2020 Oscars was an incredible event.

If you have been following along at all this awards season, then you are sure to recognize most, if not all, of these winner’s names. Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-Ho, won the most awards last night. The most memorable is winning Best Picture since Parasite is the first foreign-language to win this award in the Academy’s 92-year history. The film also won Best Director, Best International Feature Film, and Best Original Screenplay.

Joaquin Phoenix won yet another award for his role in Joker and sent a heartfelt message during his speech. He said that everyone there needed to be the voice for the voiceless and continued to talk about animal rights, the environment, racism, and sexism.

Once again, there seemed to be a lack of diversity. Many celebs were upset by the fact that no female directors were nominated. There was barely any ethnic diversity between the winners which includes Bong Joon-Ho with Parasite and Michael Cherry with collaborator Karen Rupert Toliver for Hair Love.

Here are a few of the top categories with their nominees and winners. The complete list can be found here.
