Be on the Lookout for Jennifer Lawrence in New Netflix Film
Adam McKay’s new upcoming comedy, Don’t Look Up, will be on Netflix later this year and will star Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence.
Netflix continues to amaze us with new movies and TV show announcements. Adam McKay’s comedy feature, Don’t Look Up, was announced last November. The movie tells a story of two astronomers who must travel the world to warn mankind about an asteroid that will attack the earth.

In DON’T LOOK UP, an asteroid is approaching Earth and it’s up to two low-level astronomers to go on a massive media tour to warn the rest of mankind.

McKay is excited to have Lawrence on board. He recently stated that in the 17th-century, people would refer to her as a “dynamite talent.” Lawrence was the highest-paid actress in the world in 2015 and 2016. She has many Oscar nominations and in 2012 won the Oscar for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. She is often referred to as the most successful actor of her generation with her films grossing over $5.5 billion worldwide.

McKay’s most recent film, Vice, is about former Vice President Dick Cheney. It has received eight Oscar nominations and won for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. He has also received awards for co-writing The Big Short with Charles Randolph. The Big Short has won the Oscar, BAFTA, and WGA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
