See What Has Helped Jessica Alba Run Her Company

Motherhood comes with its ups and downs, but for Jessica Alba, it has helped her successfully run her company.

Jessica Alba started Honest Company and credits motherhood with helping her run her business (be sure to check out her interview above). She relates how trying to be the best mom has shown her how she can also be the best business owner. Both jobs can make one feel overwhelmed and start to overthink, but Alba says it just matters who you surround yourself with to help you get through it.

Her company is named after her eldest daughter, Honor. She also has two other children: Haven and Hayes. When she was pregnant with Honor, she suffered from an allergic reaction while using a laundry detergent that was marketed to babies. This inspired her to create her own company that has honest and true ingredients that won’t cause an allergic reaction like the one she had.

Alba likes to use the most plant-based ingredients that she can to create her products. She admits it does cost more money to produce, but the reward of giving families a healthier and better option makes up for it. She also tries her best to make her products as affordable and accessible as she can. The company not only creates baby products but makeup and vitamins as well.
