Catch SpongeBob in the Upcoming Movie ‘Sponge on the Run’

Looks like our favorite sponge will be hitting theaters once again for another adventure just in time for summer in his new movie The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.

This time, Gary’s been “snailnapped.” Paramount Pictures says, “After SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary is snail-napped, he and Patrick embark on an epic adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home.” Check out the official trailer below:

Sponge on the Run will be the third “SpongeBob” film, following 2004’s The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and 2015’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Between the two SpongeBob movies, both movies grossed $465M at the global Box Office for Paramount in total.

“SpongeBob SquarePant’s” first television episode aired on May 1, 1999, and the hit series recently wrapped up its twelfth season on January 18, 2020.
