Witness the Dixie Chicks’ Epic Comeback With Their New Hit Song ‘Gaslighter’
After more than a decade of unreleased music, the Dixie Chicks have finally dropped a new single and music video, called “Gaslighter.”
In the description of the video, it was also revealed that this is only the first of many more songs to come from their Gaslighter album, which is scheduled for a release on May 1 of this year.

According to Dictionary.com, gaslighting means, “to cause (a person) to doubt his or her sanity through the use of psychological manipulation.” In the song they sing, “Repeating all the mistakes of your father…You’re sorry, but where’s my apology.” It’s about a woman who was mistreated and belittled not only in a relationship, but in society as well and is now speaking up about it (basically calling someone out on their BS). She goes on to revealing all of the harsh realities of a toxic person(s) that won’t change no matter what and how the selfish decisions that person makes may backfire in the future (or already has).
It was also insinuated that yes, that person broke her, but she rose above the ashes and prevailed, an important message for anyone to know.
