Kendrick Lamar Drops ‘pgLang’ Project with Dave Free Which Includes Baby Keem, Jorja Smith, + Yara Shahidi
Unexpectedly, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free launched a secret project and it’s not an album.
Kendrick Lama and David Free have worked on several projects before, however, this is the first one that they’ve worked on that isn’t music centered. The project is called pgLang and the press release for pgLang states that, “pgLang is at service to creators and projects that selflessly speak with, and for, the shared experiences that connect us all.” Based on their mission statement pgLang seems to be a collaborative effort to bring artists from different worlds and backgrounds together.

On their official website, you can view their visual mission statement. Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar, Jorja Smith, and Yara Shahidi can all be seen in this short video. The video starts off with Baby Keem staring at the sun while speaking to Yara Shahidi. He questions why were people told not to stare at the sun when it’s filled with energy and has Yara Shahidi join him. Besides the website and Kendrick Lamar’s posts on social media, no other statements have been made.
