Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Weight Loss Journey

Carrie Underwood has dealt with people shaming her for her weight which lead to her trying too many crazy, unhealthy diets.

Carrie Underwood has said that people’s comments about her weight were painful when she was on American Idol. She was a woman in her early 20s who was still trying to figure herself out while being thrown into the limelight. Being famous has its ups and downs, and it means that everyone’s eyes are on you. Unfortunately for Underwood, she had trouble only focusing on the negative comments about her weight.

“I’ve seen crazy diet suggestions, and I’ve tried some that are entirely unsustainable,” Underwood told PARADE. “No, I’m not going to puree my own peas or make my own hummus. You know what I do? I eat microwave burritos multiple times a week because they’re easy. It’s about finding those solutions and doing your best.”

The country singer has recently published Find Your Path, a health and wellness book that contains stories from Underwood’s personal journey. She was inspired by her own struggling weight loss journey as well as juggling her job and family. Along with that, she has also created the fit52 app. The app helps people on their health and fitness journey and finds a plan that works for you and your schedule.
