Discover How Willow Smith Takes on Anxiety
Willow Smith takes on her anxiety by trapping herself in a box for 24 hours. Willow Smith will be joined by her collaborator Tyler Cole as they explore through eight stages of anxiety. For each stage, they’ll be in a room for three-hour increments. These stages are paranoia, rage, sadness, numbness, euphoria, strong interest, compassion, and acceptance. The event will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
The performance is meant to display how Smith and Cole felt when they were working on Willow’s upcoming ablum, The Anxiety. They plan on releasing this album right after performing at the museum. Visitors of the performance will only be allowed to watch for 15 minutes and then they’ll be directed to the next room until its over. Visitors will also have the opportunity to make donations to mental health organizations. Smith believes this will enable her to battle with her own feelings of anxiety.
