Learn More About How Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus Are Helping out Our Furry Friends During the Pandemic + How You Can Help Too
It appears as though both Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez each adopted a new, furry friend to practice social distancing with.
Miley Cyrus recently announced on her Instagram Live streaming show, Bright Minded, that she adopted an adorable shepherd mix, named Bo Cyrus. ‘Bo’ was her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus‘, nickname in high school.
Bo was rescued from The Wagmor Luxury Spa, Hotel & Rescue in Studio City, California. Melissa Bacelar, owner of The Wagmor, joined Cyrus on one of her episodes of Bright Minded to discuss her perspective as an animal advocate amongst the world’s coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Selena Gomez also introduced her furry new friend to her fans via Instagram live. Gomez says, “I would like to introduce my new family member, Daisy.” “Winnie (Selena’s other dog) and Daisy are getting along really well. And, I know a few friends are fostering right now just to give, like, animals a safe place. I couldn’t help it. I have to keep her,” she continues.
With the coronavirus pandemic, many animal shelters across the US had to close their doors to the public; therefore, shelters are trying to place as many animals in homes as quickly as possible.
