During the interview, Jesy opened up about her experience with cyber bullying and how she turned that dark period in her life into a positive one by sharing her story in her hour long documentary, Odd One Out. The bullying by online trolls led the singer to overdose. “The night we won The X Factor, one troll said, ‘You are the ugliest thing I’ve seen in my life. You deserve to die,’” shares Jesy with Cosmopolitan.
The girls then go on to talk about learning to love themselves and not compare themselves to one another. “Being in a girl band, the first thing I did was compare myself to the other girls,” Leigh-Anne says. The singer then mentions how she couldn’t believe that she and band member, Jade, wanted nose jobs at one point. “I love my nose. You just have to learn to love yourself more,” Leigh-Anne shares with Cosmopolitan.
