See How P!nk Is Helping Others After Recovering From Coronavirus
P!nk has just recovered from COVID-19 and is donating money to help others be able to do the same.
P!nk shared on social media that she and her son tested positive for coronavirus about two weeks ago, but have recovered from it and are feeling better. To thank those that helped her get better, and to help other people with the virus have the same opportunity to get better, the musician is donating $1 million to help fight the pandemic.
Half of her donation is going to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund, and the other half is going to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund. She chose these two funds because she currently lives in Los Angeles and her mother worked at the Philadelphia facility for 18 years.
The singer also decided to use this time to express her anger in the lack of testing that is being offered. She said it is “an absolute travesty and failure of our government.” She considers herself fortunate that her physician had access to tests, but she realizes that many people do not have that option.
