Take a Look at How Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Are Helping to Flatten the COVID-19 Curve
Generous celebrities are doing anything they can to help out with the current global pandemic.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have shown their philanthropic sides for years now using their wealth to benefit many people in need as well as various nonprofits. Now, during the global pandemic, many celebs are stepping up to offer any relief they can in this unprecedented time.
The star couple has already made multiple donations in support of fighting the virus, and they continue to show their altruistic traits. About two weeks ago, the pair donated $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. Half of this was a gift to Feeding America, our nation’s largest organization relieving domestic hunger and the other half went to Canada’s leading hunger prevention organization, Food Banks Canada.
On top of this, they also donated $100,000 each to the four most impacted hospitals in the state of New York (NYU Hospital, Elmhurst, Northern Westchester and Mount Sinai). To top this off again, Reynolds’ announced that from now until May 1, 2020, every bottle sold of his alcohol brand (Aviation Gin) online, 30% of those proceeds will benefit the U.S. Bartenders Guild.
Until May 1st, for every bottle of Aviation ordered online, we’ll donate 30% of proceeds as a tip to your bartenders – who REALLY miss you btw. Visit https://t.co/elT2zrCgE0 #TipYourBartenders #StayHomeSaveLives pic.twitter.com/77tVacDGBM
