Taraji P. Henson Launches Free COVID-19 Virtual Therapy Support Campaign
Taraji P. Henson is giving back to individuals effected by the coronavirus pandemic by offering free mental and emotional services to those in need.
Henson understands it isn’t easy for individuals to pick up the phone to speak with a therapist without stressing about the cost of affording such therapy. Hence why Taraji launched her free COVID-19 Virtual Therapy Campaign to assist those in need of the free services.
The talented actress is operating the campaign through her nonprofit organization, the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, which was named after her late father who struggled and suffered with mental health challenges after serving in the Vietnam War.

“This campaign is for underserved communities experiencing life-changing events related to or triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic,” unveiled Henson via Instagram.
From social distancing, to unemployment, and sudden loss, COVID-19 has had an unexpected and extraordinary impact on all of our daily lives. All of these factors can understandably cause unbearable stress and anxiety for anyone coping with these drastic changes.
According to the foundation’s website, the campaign will help raise money for “mental health services provided by licensed clinicians in our network. Individuals with life-changing stressors and anxiety related to the coronavirus will have the cost for up to five (5) individual sessions.”

The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation services will be on a first-come, first-serve basis until all of the funds are exhausted. In conclusion of Henson’s announcement, she says, “No one should suffer in silence. We are in this together. Remember, it’s okay to not be okay.”
