You Might Get Emotional When You See Brad Pitt Fight Back Tears on ‘Celebrity IOU’
In the HGTV show, Brad Pitt is overcome with emotion when helping his longtime makeup artist and dear friend, Jean Black.
Property Brothers stars, Drew and Jonathon Scott, are part of the new hit series Celebrity IOU on HGTV. The show gives celebrities an opportunity to give back to someone who has had a positive impact on their lives with home renovations.
Brad Pitt was on the show to help his makeup artist and friend, Jean Black, by renovating her detached garage. Pitt talks about his 29-year relationship with Black and says, “She’s family. We’re like brother and sister. We bicker, we fight. She’s just one of those nucleuses we all orbit around.” Pitt chose her garage because the two have previously discussed changing it into either a guesthouse or workspace. He wanted to complete the project in only three weeks.

Not surprisingly, the team was able to pull it off and have the project completely done in three weeks. The guest house had a custom storage Murphy bed, a quartz countertop, and a kitchen space. There was also a secret door that opens up to another storage area decorated with a blown-up photo of Black’s parents. Pitt shared that both of her parents have passed away and started to choke up looking at the picture. “I’m the guy who’s going to cry on television,” Pitt says fighting back tears, “I can’t take it all in just yet.”
