Cate Blanchett is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and two-time Academy Award winner. In these times of despair, she wanted to share some of her favorite films that shine a light on global connectivity and empathy. In a video, she encourages everyone to watch at least one of these films in hopes that it will lift people’s spirits. The actress also is asking people to donate to the UNHCR, also known as the UN Refugee Agency. She expresses how donating to UNHCR will help those communities that are most vulnerable right now.
