Bon Jovi Cancels Tour to Help Out Fans
The band decided to cancel instead of postponing the 2020 tour so fans can receive refunds.
Artists everywhere are canceling or postponing their tours due to the pandemic and Bon Jovi just joined in. The Bon Jovie 2020 Tour was scheduled to start this summer with Bryan Adams, but the band decided to cancel all shows. Fans are disappointed that they are not rescheduling the dates and are just canceling the tour altogether. In a post on social media, Bon Jovi explained, “This will enable ticket holders to get refunds to help pay their bills or buy groceries. These are trying times. You’ve always been there for us and we’ll always be there for you.”

Ticketmaster has recently changed its policy to help out more fans during these difficult times. Fans can now get refunds for shows after Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-New Jersey, and Rep. Katie Porter, D-California, complained to Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation, about fans not getting refunds for shows that were postponed indefinitely.

Do not be too upset, though, because you still have a chance to hear Bon Jovi live. He will be taking part in the Jersey 4 Jersey concert in support of the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund. He also wrote a new song “Do What You Can” which is corona-inspired. He made it a collaborative project where fans could write their own lyrics about their experiences and struggles during the pandemic.
